Alameda Theater

THE FUTURE REIMAGINED

When the Alameda Theater reopens its doors in 2028, it will once again be the largest theater in the United States emphasizing Latino-oriented performing arts.

The beautifully restored venue will welcome 1,100 guests, combining traditional theater seating with flexible lounge areas to create versatile spaces for every occasion.

The Alameda’s programming will reflect the vibrant spirit of Latino-oriented arts and culture, offering a contemporary mix of music, theater, dance, and more. Local and regional artists will be spotlighted alongside national and international talent. In its opening year alone, the theater is expected to host more than 50 events, including concerts, theatrical performances, and community programs. The Alameda will also be available for special events, private rentals, and educational programming. Partnerships with Texas Public Radio and the San Antonio River Authority will further expand opportunities for creative collaborations and access to additional performance spaces.

Planning for Success

The Alameda Theater Conservancy has selected ATG Entertainment (ATG), a global leader in live entertainment venue management, to operate and program the historic Alameda Theater. ATG is the only world-class entertainment management organization in San Antonio with the experience to successfully launch the next chapter of the Alameda Theater. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the revitalization and reactivation of one of San Antonio’s most culturally significant performance spaces. ATG Entertainment’s San Antonio-based team—known for their exceptional management of the Majestic and Empire Theatres on Houston Street and The Espee outdoor amphitheater in St. Paul Square—will lead the day-to-day operations, programming, and community engagement for the Alameda.
